Shalyn is one of the only practitioners I know who has helped me achieve a state of deep rest; the in-between state between sleep and wakefulness. This deep rest was what my body and mind needed to recover from chronic stress and fatigue.

Sometimes there is a need for stillness,
to listen more closely to what the body has been carrying.
And sometimes it helps to work together over time
to build more sustainable rhythms of recovery.

My approach:
Creating a safe space
to settle and feel supported is
the first step toward releasing tension.
1. Arrival
We begin with a brief check-in about how you’re arriving that day. If you’re comfortable, we move straight to the treatment table so you can settle into a relaxed position while we continue the conversation and notice what may need attention.
2. Bodywork
From there, the work unfolds through slow fascial bodywork, attentive touch, and moments of stillness.
Rather than following a fixed routine, I listen to how your body responds and adjust the session accordingly.
3. Integration
At the end, we take a few minutes to notice what has shifted and how you might continue supporting your body in daily life.
I am normally very against massages, but many parts of my body really felt like it needed attention but was unsure how to go about it.
In my session with Tara, she made sure to ask questions that helped tremendously in making me feel relaxed and safe in the session!
She used the right pressure that my body needed, and even gave me tips and tricks to listen to my body better.
Afterwards I felt like I was reborn and refreshed.

About
Shalyn Tara
I have been working in massage and bodywork for over eight years, supporting people with recurring tension, stress-related discomfort, and the lingering fatigue that builds over time.
My approach has gradually evolved from technique-focused massage toward slower, more attentive bodywork that combines fascial release with stillness and careful listening.
My training includes foundational work in Homeodynamic Bowen Therapy, Chinese acupressure, and Anatomy Trains, alongside ongoing study of nervous system regulation and a long-term personal practice in Kundalini Yoga.
Alongside technical training, I place importance on my own grounding and self-development. In my experience, the internal state of the practitioner influences how deeply a client can settle, which is why I approach this work with care, presence, and humility.
Of all the massages I've had around the world, Shalyn's work remains one of the best. She intuitively knows the pressure points to patiently work on, and I always leave feeling much more restful. I cannot recommend it enough!
